Ruthy is a self-taught designer with a fine tuned hand for her craft and more than two decades of sewing experience. She encourages all women to celebrate their unique body types and own their individual style aesthetics.
At a young age she discovered her affinity for the art of fabric manipulation and began to develop her skills as a seamstress. She initially honed these skills as a stay-at-home mom by sewing for friends and family. Later, working as an Alterations Specialist for a bridal-retail chain, she quickly became disenchanted with the lack of personal touch provided in their services as well as the mass-produced “off-the-rack” designs.
She left the world of corporate dress sales to open her own sewing studio on the outskirts of Downtown Pensacola in 2012. Ruthy quickly became a local favorite. She is known all across the Gulf Coast as the highest-recommended seamstress and designer, not only for her high quality alterations, but also for her ability to create one-of a kind bridal and formal gowns.
Natalie is a multimedia artist and seamstress. Like her mother, she also learned to sew as a child, practicing alongside Ruthy at the small studio in their family home. She officially started working with Ruthy shortly after graduating high school in 2013.
Natalie is also a photographer and the social media manager for Ruthy’s. Natalie is a huge advocate for self-love in her personal life and at work. She believes that all bodies are excellent bodies and that all bodies should be able to dress comfortably and confidently.
